These epoxies are used to protect oil treaters, separators, vessels, or flare knock outs and receiver drums are not dramatically different than others that Brother’s applies, but the application is very specific for each situation.

Vessels tend to have more pressure and heat in them so the coating systems for these tend to be designed for that environment. Erosion can also be an issue for these with high pressure inlets and outlets. This requires a specially designed coating to work in these areas to prevent any erosion to the substrate (call for size and weight limitations).

Brother’s can also internally line small-diameter tanks. The most common are 400bbl. skidded tanks that can carry acid, downhole chemical “soups”, process water, potable water and oil. The coatings used in these services are specifically designed to meet the required parameters of the service requirements.
